Since 1997, Citizen Cake has been a favorite San Francisco destination patisserie and restaurant. Located in Hayes Valley, near City Hall since 2000, and perfect for stopping in after shopping on Hayes Street or before and after the theater.
Both retail bakery and cafe, the Patisserie features Elizabeth’s contemporary cakes, cupcakes, chocolates and other confections, cookies and pastries, along with espresso drinks, teas and sandwiches. Citizen Cake is also known for its whimsical kid's cakes as well as its beautiful, delicious, and sometimes outrageous wedding and custom cakes.
Our Restaurant + Bar serves brunch, lunch and dinner menus with a full bar, Citizen Cake was awarded a recommendation from Michelin, received 7x7 Magazine’s award for best dessert 2006, 2007, 2008 and was awarded Hayes Valley's best brunch.
